King's College London gave me a brief to design a poster to draw attention to their upcoming student union election and encourage students to stands. The brief mentioned that minority, postgrad and health school students were underrepresented on the student officer team. I wanted my poster to be inclusive, so I depicted tools and instruments used on courses throughout the college. I thought showing behind a lectern would contrast with most students' experience of sitting in lecture halls, looking at the front of one. I wanted the poster to convey that standing and being elected was a reasonable, attainable thing and not exclusive to any single group.
